SISB Suvarnabhumi: NK Global Citizenship

On Nov 13, we had an amazing time hosting the parents of one of our students to celebrate Diwali and learn about its traditions. The parents arrived dressed in stunning traditional Indian costumes and shared their knowledge about the history and significance of this beautiful festival.

The event was made even more special by the hands-on activity of designing rangolis, with some assistance from our teachers. On Diwali, the ground in front of an Indian household is decorated with rangoli, a creative pattern. This art form signifies joy and good fortune and is intended to greet the Goddess of prosperity. The students had the opportunity to admire a beautiful rangoli on our campus, prepared by our school’s leader.

The event was not only a memorable experience but also enlightened our students about the diverse traditions celebrated around the world.

We are immensely grateful to the parents for their invaluable contribution in making this event so informative and exciting for our students.
