Pastoral Care and Career Guidance (PCCG)

Pastoral Care and Career Guidance (PCCG) is a multidimensional programme implemented in SISB schools to help students achieve the principal aim of education: complete living through activities that promote self-preservation, worthy home membership, worthy citizenship, and the worthy use of time.

SISB’s PCCG programme is designed to provide comprehensive support that addresses students’ personal, social, emotional and academic needs while preparing them for their future professional endeavours.

PCCG

A primary objective is to provide emotional and social support, creating a nurturing environment in which students feel secure in expressing their thoughts and concerns. This supportive environment cultivates independence, respect, responsibility, resilience, and effective coping strategies, all essential for managing the diverse challenges of academic and personal life.

The initiative also promotes career awareness by offering detailed insights into a range of potential career paths matched to their personality, skills and interests, including qualifications, job market dynamics, and opportunities across sectors. Such guidance enables students to explore their interests and strengths, facilitating alignment with appropriate career options. In addition, the PCCG team provides support with university applications, both local and international.

Ultimately, the Pastoral Care and Career Guidance programme plays a crucial role in fostering well-rounded individuals, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to navigate their academic paths and pursue fulfilling careers successfully.
