Building Excellence Begins with Building Our People
At SISB Thonburi, we believe that investing in our teachers and staff is one of the most important investments we can make in our students’ future. As we prepare for a new academic year, we were delighted to welcome our newest colleagues through our comprehensive New Staff Induction Programme—a meaningful three-day journey designed to equip, inspire, and connect every new member of our SISB family.
The induction programme was more than an orientation—it was an introduction to the culture, values, and purpose that define who we are as a school.
Our journey began with an enriching visit to the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall, where our international colleagues immersed themselves in Thailand’s rich history, culture, and heritage. Understanding the country, its people, and its traditions is essential to becoming an effective educator within our community, enabling our staff to build stronger relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while embracing the culture they now call home.
The second day focused on laying a strong professional foundation. Through informative sessions conducted by our Thai Department and Human Resources Team, our new staff gained valuable insights into Thai laws, workplace culture, safeguarding practices, school policies, and professional expectations. These sessions ensure that every educator begins their SISB journey with confidence, clarity, and a shared understanding of our commitment to excellence.
The final day highlighted what truly makes SISB Thonburi special—our people. Department leaders introduced the many teams that work collaboratively behind the scenes to support teaching, learning, student wellbeing, and school operations. From academic departments to student services, administration, operations, and support teams, our new colleagues experienced first-hand the collaborative culture that enables every student to thrive.
Beyond the presentations and workshops, the induction created opportunities for new staff to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas, and become part of a professional learning community united by a common purpose: bringing out the best in every child.
