We are excited to share a remarkable achievement by SISB Nonthaburi!
On Oct 28-29, we proudly sent our first pioneering Model United Nations (MUN) delegation to participate in a weekend filled with thought-provoking discussions, deliberations, and passionate debates.
Representing our school with great enthusiasm and dedication were three exceptional students: Putter, Sand, and Tycoon. They showcased their skills and talents at this prestigious event, which was hosted by one of our sister schools in Thonburi. Notably, this event attracted students from approximately 20 different schools, primarily from Bangkok but also further afield.
Model United Nations is a global platform, which mirrors the structure and procedures of the actual United Nations. Students come together to address and analyse the most pressing issues that our world faces today and collaboratively propose solutions. In order to excel in these debates, students need to possess in-depth knowledge of various global topics and events, presenting their arguments from the perspective of a specific country. We are delighted to share that Putter, one of our representatives, eloquently represented the nation of Chile during this event.
This remarkable achievement is just the beginning of our journey. We believe that this marks the commencement of numerous delegations from SISB Nonthaburi, participating in similar events not only within Bangkok but also on the international stage. Our students are already eagerly looking forward to the Thai MUN event next year and are brimming with enthusiasm to engage in insightful discussions on current affairs.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ dedication and their outstanding performance at the Model United Nations event. This experience has enriched their knowledge, honed their communication skills, and ignited a passion for addressing global issues. It is a testament to the high standards of excellence that we uphold at SISB Nonthaburi.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates and achievements from our students as they continue to make us proud on the local and international stages.
