NK celebrated Chinese New Year on Wednesday, Jan 18, 2023. K2 students started the celebration with a short programme and parents were invited to watch the students in a Chinese Dance performance. K1 and K2 students rendered a song of appreciation for their parents and teachers and parents were very happy as the children expressed their gratitude for them through the beautiful song, Ting Wo Shuo Xie Xie Ni. After the programme, N2 to K2 students, together with their teachers and parents, proceeded to the football field to watch the dragon dance. N1 students also stayed at the NK playground to watch. Our open-minded students were able to interact positively with the dancing lions and dragons. The students also made some Chinese arts and crafts and received a lucky bag with children’s goodies which they brought home in the afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the fun-filled Chinese New Year activities.
