Building Bridges Through Books: Reading to Our Little Ones!”

This last month, our Grade 7 and Grade 8 English classes had the wonderful opportunity to engage with the Nursery Section in a heartwarming reading event in celebration of International School Library Month. This initiative aimed to foster a love of reading among our youngest learners while showcasing the fantastic reading skills of our older students.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the older students took turns reading captivating stories to the eager Nursery students. The joy and smiles on the faces of the little ones were truly delightful, creating an environment of warmth and connection. Our Sixth Form students brought the stories to life with their enthusiasm and expressive reading styles, captivating the young audience and sparking their imagination.

This experience not only highlighted the importance of literacy but also strengthened the bonds between different grade levels, allowing the older students to mentor and inspire the younger ones. It was a beautiful moment of sharing, laughter, and the pure joy of storytelling.

A heartfelt thank you to our Nursery teachers for organizing this lovely event, and to the Nursery students for their warm smiles and eager listening. We look forward to more opportunities to share the magic of reading and to continue building a community that values literacy and lifelong learning!
