[University Offers 2026] Anjali Elsa Bose

“Moving to Thailand from India was difficult in many ways. Leaving behind my family, friends, and finding where I fit in at SISB took a while. But the period of adjusting led me to the world of books, where I discovered whole other worlds and characters. Books were my bestfriends for the longest time, alongside my small rotation of friends at school throughout primary school.

Grade 7 was when I truly started finding myself and exploring new opportunities and versions of myself I didn’t know existed. After joining Drama club in Grade 9, I grew out of my shell through the Musical ‘Grease’ and ‘Legally Blonde’, Emceeing for different events, Student council and many performances. I found soon enough that I loved being on stage.

I made sure to keep up my studies alongside my other interests with the help of the best teachers and the smartest friends. Now, I am confident in the person that I am, the person SISB had a huge part in molding.

With my heart set on being a doctor, I knew college was going to be an expensive journey. The University counselling team helped me find Vin University, and supported me throughout the application process, providing all necessary documents & advising me the whole way. They presented me with an opportunity I never thought I could have.

I have felt a calling to the medical field, specifically to be an oncologist since around the 10th grade. Cancer is not an unknown to anyone, and if I could reduce the burden on those going through the worst, that is all the reward I need.

Prioritise yourself, work on yourself and become the best version of yourself you can be. Be passionate and work hard for your goals. Be kind, don’t take things too seriously and have fun with your friends. Make tons of memories.”
