On Nov 5, the Nursery–Kindergarten Section at SISB Suvarnabhumi Campus celebrated the Loy Krathong Festival, one of Thailand’s most cherished cultural traditions. The event offered our young learners a wonderful opportunity to explore the meaning and history of this special day while appreciating the importance of water as a valuable natural resource.
Dressed in beautiful traditional Thai attire, students participated in engaging learning-station activities such as making krathong from banana trees, floating their krathong, riding banana-stem hobby horses, learning about the benefits of bananas, and cooking chocolate-dipped bananas. They also enjoyed creating colourful wind turbine crafts to commemorate the day.
This meaningful celebration not only deepened students’ appreciation of Thai culture but also fostered joy, creativity, and a sense of togetherness within our school community.
