This year’s Wai Khru ceremony at SISB Suvarnabhumi was held on Thursday, Sept 4.
The Wai Khru ceremony is a beautiful tradition that expresses students’ gratitude, appreciation, and respect towards their beloved teachers, who impart knowledge, provide guidance, and shape them into good people.
The Thai Department organized a teacher’s honor procession to recognize and celebrate the contributions of teachers. The procession was led by incense and candles, trays of lamps to light the way, and displays of textbooks, followed by the administrators and teachers. As the teachers entered the ceremony, every student clapped their hands and smiled with love and respect.
Student representatives carefully crafted incense and flower trays, creating the most exquisite designs to present to their homeroom teachers.
All the students recited the oath loudly and in unison, promising their teachers that they would study diligently and strive to be good members of society. The teachers were deeply moved and grateful, creating an atmosphere filled with love and compassion between students and teachers.
