We were delighted to host children’s author Angie C. Lucas at SISB Thonburi for an inspiring author visit filled with storytelling and meaningful learning. Through her beautifully written books, Angie shared powerful messages about environmental care, resilience, and friendship. Students were captivated by Dana and the Butterfly, which explores the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly and the impact of pollution, as well as The Dolphin and the Flying Fish and Mac and Caw’s Amazon Rainforest Friends, which highlight ocean pollution and deforestation through heartwarming animal adventures.
The visit encouraged our young learners to think deeply about how their actions affect the Earth. Students learnt about real-world environmental challenges and reflected on how they can be responsible, caring individuals. From engaging discussions to meaningful interactions with the author, the experience sparked curiosity, empathy, and a renewed love for reading, reminding us all that stories can inspire change.
