“When I first joined SISB in Primary 3, transitioning to a multilingual environment was tough for me as a Chinese student, but the school community was very welcoming. I was able to pick up new languages and assimilate into the international school environment thanks to the numerous good friends who were there for me, and I would cherish them for many years to come.
In Grade 11, I decided to join the challenging IB Diploma Programme. With guidance from supportive teachers and staff members, I pulled through and got better at managing time and stress, which made all of my efforts worth it. My time here at SISB has made me grow as an individual and prepared me for my future endeavours in university.
The strong counselling team at SISB played a vital role in my application journey, as they assisted me with things like building my portfolio and constructing my personal statements. I became a great candidate and received offers from several universities.
Life will put you in situations where any choice you make will result in both happiness and pain. It will push you to question your own values and make you learn that you can’t always make everything right. You need to distinguish between what you want and what you need, and deal with the consequences one way or another.”
