SISB Suvarnabhumi: Primary 4 Field Trip to Banglamphu Museum AY2025/2026

Primary Field Trip – A Journey Through Time at Banglamphu Museum! 🚌✨

On Nov 28, SISB Suvarnabhumi Primary 4 students embarked on a captivating learning adventure to the historic Banglamphu Museum. The energy was high, spirits were bright, and curiosity led the way as the children explored one of Bangkok’s most charming and culturally rich heritage sites.

Housed in a former print shop, the museum offered the perfect blend of history, culture, and creativity. Students were able to wander through fascinating exhibits that revealed the story of Banglamphu—its growth over the years, its role in shaping local people’s lives, and its significance to Thai heritage. The children were particularly intrigued by the traditional craft displays, especially the detailed, elegant work of nielloware, which sparked wonder and appreciation for local artistry and craftsmanship.

As they continued their tour, the students stepped back in time through the museum’s recreated old shops—from vintage-style coffee shops with classic charm to tailor houses lined with tools and fabrics used in the past. These immersive setups gave students a visual and experiential understanding of how people lived, worked, and connected as a community many years ago.

One of the highlights of the visit was the nostalgic screening of old films, where students got a glimpse of entertainment styles and media from the past. Laughter, questions, and excitement filled the room as they compared how movies were made and enjoyed then versus now.

The day ended with a magical touch—the breathtaking simulated projection of fireflies at dusk. This atmospheric display not only captured the students’ imagination but also represented a cherished part of Banglamphu’s history, giving them a moment of calm reflection amidst all the exploration. The awe on their faces was priceless.

Overall, today’s field trip was more than just a school outing—it was a journey into the heart of Thailand’s cultural story. Our young learners walked away with newfound knowledge, meaningful memories, and a deeper appreciation for heritage and tradition. Their excitement and engagement throughout the experience showcased the power of learning beyond the classroom.

We are so proud of our P4 Love and P4 Joy students for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and wonderful behavior throughout the trip. A huge thank you to the teachers and museum guides for making this experience both educational and unforgettable.
