Day1
Day 1 of Upper Primary residential trip was an incredible start! We began with an unforgettable visit to the 🐘🐘🐘 Mae Sa Elephant Sanctuary, where students learned about elephant care, created special medicine for them, and had the opportunity to feed and bathe these magnificent creatures. After an exciting afternoon, we arrived at our campsite in Chiang Dao and set up camp ⛺️⛺️⛺️! The evening was filled with campfire songs, barbecue sausages 🍢 and laughter as we bonded under the stars 🌟✨🌠. Day2
Day 2 of our ⛰️🏕️Upper Primary Residential Trip 🌤️🏔️ saw us embarking on a meaningful service learning journey. We began our day at Baan Tung Lakorn Primary School, joining their lively morning assembly. Split into eight groups, our students led engaging activity stations, covering art 🎨, STEM, science 🔍, math 📐, English, music 🎶, sports ⚽️, and nature 🌿. It was inspiring to witness their leadership and enthusiasm as they shared their knowledge and skills with the younger students. To further support the school, we used funds raised during our Christmas celebrations to purchase valuable school supplies, sports equipment, and cleaning materials. This experience provided a valuable opportunity for our students to learn the importance of giving back to their community 💕and considering the needs of others. The afternoon offered a delightful array of activities for our students to explore. They embraced their creativity with stone art 🪨, honed their survival skills by learning fire-starting 🔥techniques, tested their balance and problem-solving abilities with 🌊 river rock stacking, and embarked on a captivating hike through the enchanting bamboo forest .
As the day drew to a close, we gathered around the crackling campfire ⛺️ for a final sing-along, played lively games, enjoyed a Mr Bean movie under the starry sky, and indulged in the sweet treat of delicious s’mores. Day3
We finished off our Residential Trip immersing in nature 🌲🌲🌳 , taking a nature trek and tuning our senses to soak in the sights 👀, smells 👃🏻, sounds 👂🏻, taste and feeling of the forest. Students had a fun time trekking 👣 through the river and feeling the energy of the forest. Our guide Khruu Nikhom gave us an educational commentary on the forest and how we need to respect and enjoy nature 🌿🍃🌿. Upon returning to camp, we dedicated time for reflection. Students shared what they learnt and what was memorable to them, creating a space for meaningful learning and reflection.
