Learning to lead is a continuous process of developing communication skills, self-confidence and the ability to convince people to achieve something great. What better way to start a student’s leadership training than joining the SISB MUN (Model United Nations). The Primary Prefects of Pracha Uthit have always been active in participating in the SISB-MUN. Same as last year, we sent selected members from the Primary Prefects to attend this event hosted by SISB Thonburi.
Engaging as it was thought-provoking, the event was a chance for students from different schools to share ideas and collaborate on solutions to current issues facing the world. The student-delegates from Secondary-Sixth Form, representing different UN-member countries, debated and deliberated throughout the three-day event to come up with resolutions to specified world issues assigned to their committee, as assisted by the prefect pages.
Most participants, from committee chairs, to delegates, to the prefect pages, went home with a renewed perspective towards how the United Nations function as a peacekeeping organisation and how important diplomacy is in keeping the world united in tackling world-problems as shared by all global citizens.
