On Oct 6, our Secondary-Sixth Form were buzzing with excitement as we celebrated the cherished Mid-Autumn Festival with a special event, immersing students in the richness of Chinese traditional culture.
The festival offered a DIY mooncake-making workshop and a rich cultural adventure. Students stepped into a world of ancient games, testing their skill in traditional archery, the precision of touhu (arrow tossing), and the teamwork of cuju (an ancient Chinese football game).
For those with an artistic flair, there were creative stations for rabbit drawing and fan making, allowing students to express their creativity while learning about symbolic festival icons. A dedicated photo booth was also a popular spot, providing a perfect backdrop for students to capture joyful memories with their friends.
The event concluded on a high note as students exchanged the stamps collected for special prizes before heading home, carrying with them not just gifts but a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture.
