SISB turns food waste into plant nutrients for the development of public parks

Mr. Kelvin Koh, Chief Executive Officer of SISB Public Company Limited, was delighted to meet Mr. Pornphrom Vikitsreth, Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok, and Chief Sustainability Officer of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, to present 2,000 kg worth of plant nutrient supplements, for the development of public parks in Bangkok.

These plant nutrients were produced in-house using Singapore International School of Bangkok’s two food waste composters. Similar food waste composters have also been installed at Singapore International School Thonburi, as part of the organisation’s efforts to turn food waste into resources that will benefit the environment.

Along with the installation of solar power panels at the same two campuses, these are just some of the initiatives that SISB has taken on to create a green and sustainable city for current and future generations!
