On Nov 25, SISB Thonburi hosted the 1st SISB Merlions Basketball Competition for the 14-15 age group, featuring Boys’ teams from SISB Thonburi, Ascot International School, Bangkok Bilingual School, and Australian International School. The day was filled with fun, respect, and a competitive atmosphere, providing players a unique opportunity for friendly rivalry, talent showcase, and building connections with peers from other institutions.
In the morning, the Boys’ category showcased outstanding defence, strategies, ball rotation, and teamwork. SISB TR emerged as the CHAMPION, with Ascot AFA securing 1st place, BBS at 2nd place, and AISB at 3rd place.
The afternoon featured the Girls’ category with teams from SISB TR, Ascot AFA, BBS, and SSBA. Each team displayed eagerness to win, and congratulations to SSBA for emerging victorious. SISB TR secured 1st place, followed by Ascot AFA at 2nd place, and BBS at 3rd place.
A BIG shoutout to the SISB PE Department, led by Coach Noch and Coach Jan, and to the very supportive parents who stayed from start to finish. This successful event sets the stage for more excitement in Terms 2 and 3 with the U9 and U11 age groups.
