On Sept 17, 2024, SISB Suvarnabhumi celebrated the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Each year the festival is traditionally celebrated on the 15th day of the eight lunar month.
The Primary Chinese department celebrated this event with P1 to P6 students so that they have the opportunity to experience and immerse themselves in the Chinese culture.
During the Chinese lessons, Chinese teachers presented the legend and traditional customs to develop the students’ understanding of the Chinese culture. P1 and P2 students made a D.I.Y Mid-Autumn Festival ornament. P3 and P4 students made a mooncake blind box on which they had to draw and write Chinese words while P5 and P6 students made a mooncake with clay. All students were able to take their crafts home to share with their family.
