On Sept 29, SISB Suvarnabhumi celebrated the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Every year, this festival is traditionally celebrated on the 15th of the 8th month of the Lunar Calendar.
The Primary Chinese department celebrated this event with P1 to P6 pupils to allow them the opportunity to experience cultural immersion in this Chinese tradition.
During Chinese lessons, the teachers presented the legend behind the festival, traditional customs, played games to prompt the understanding of Chinese culture and briefed students on how to make a snow skin mooncake. After that, P1-P6 pupils also had the opportunity to make their snow skin mooncakes which they took home, along with the beautiful packaging, to share with their family so that they can also enjoy celebrating this event.
We would like to take this opportunity to send everyone our heartfelt blessings and to wish you and your family a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
祝大家:花好月圆人团圆,阖家幸福永安康!
