On Feb 8, Kindergarten 2 students and teachers went on an exciting field trip to Get Growing Community Farm. They arrived early, brimming with anticipation. At the farm, they fed animals like goats, sheep, turtles, and chickens. They were able to collect eggs which they happily took home. They also planted corn seeds, learning how to care for plants. There was a short session from the farm owner that emphasised plants’ needs for survival. In addition to these activities, students enjoyed the farm’s natural playground. There were challenging activities like a high slider, gigantic trampoline, zipline, swing, and monkey bars. Laughter filled the air as the students bounced on the trampoline, slid on the high slider, and glided down the zipline. The playground added an extra layer of fun to their day, enhancing their experience at the farm.
