SISB Rayong Celebrates a Vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival!

This annual event, deeply rooted in Asian traditions, gave our students, parents, and teachers the chance to embrace the essence of the festival through a variety of engaging activities while dressed in beautiful traditional Chinese costumes.

The event featured extraordinary student performances, where our talented students dazzled in traditional attire as they sang, danced, and recited ancient Chinese poetry. These captivating performances added cultural depth and brought the festival’s spirit to life. One of the highlights was the mooncake-making activity, where students, guided by their teachers, learned to craft these iconic treats. This hands-on experience deepened their appreciation for this timeless tradition. The festive atmosphere was further enriched with vibrant decorations and traditional lanterns, immersing everyone in the rich heritage of the festival. The sight of students, parents, and teachers in traditional costumes added color and authenticity to the celebration.

In our nursery Chinese class, students channeled their creativity by crafting their own lanterns, lighting up the room with smiles as they learned about the significance of these bright symbols. Of course, no Mid-Autumn Festival would be complete without mooncakes! Our students were delighted to sample this traditional delicacy, enjoying a hands-on experience of this cultural treat.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for celebrating harmony, unity, and togetherness – values that align perfectly with the ethos of our global citizenship program at SISB Rayong. Through such celebrations, our students not only learn about diverse cultures but also foster a deep sense of appreciation for traditions beyond their own.

We hope that everyone in our SISB Rayong community enjoyed this special time with their families and loved ones.

Here’s to celebrating togetherness, today and always!
