SISB Pracha Uthit Campus held a vibrant Songkran celebration on April 4 to introduce our students to the rich cultural traditions of Thailand. Excitement filled the air as students and staff arrived dressed in traditional Thai attire. The school grounds were a kaleidoscope of colours and patterns, reflecting the diversity and unity celebrated during Songkran.
Students and teachers were delighted and thrilled to watch various traditional Thai dances performed by students, accompanied by Thai instruments from the school’s Thai Music Band. Several teachers also joined in the performances, to the delight of the students’ cohort. Students also learnt noteworthy traditional values of Thai culture through the water-pouring and blessing ceremony involving our SISB community.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the exhilarating water play activity. Students eagerly participated in friendly water fights, armed with mini buckets, and laughter. As they chased one another amidst splashing water, they experienced the sheer joy and camaraderie that define Songkran festivities. Through this playful activity, students learnt the importance of joy, laughter, and unity in fostering community spirit.
