At SISB Chiangmai we inspire to help our students become well-rounded individuals. To do this we have adopted the IB learner attributes as our school’s Learner Profile. We support and encourage our students to be; inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.
Over the course of the year, students in the primary department are awarded Learner Profile Links for behaviours that represent the school’s learner profile. The students collect these links to make chains which display the progress they are making. The students are really motivated to grow their Learner Profile Chains, and these chains are visual representations of how each child, and our school, exemplify the qualities of the Learner Profile.
At the end of the year we have a learner profile team event which requires the students to put the learner profile skills into practice. This year each team was given a picture to create with the learner profile chains, and four minutes to create it.
The students needed to be good thinkers, communicators who are balanced, open-minded and reflective in order to complete the challenge.
