HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presides over the Opening Ceremony of Medhivisista Building at SISB Thonburi
Thonburi, Thailand, July 20, 2023 – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the Opening Ceremony of Medhivisista Building, a state-of-the-art academic compound at SISB Thonburi, a school for Nursery-Kindergarten to High School. The name, Medhivisista, which means “Scholars with a spirit of excellence”, was bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
SISB Thonburi started in 2017, the fourth SISB school in Thailand. The opening of SISB schools in different locations is in line with its vision to be the leading education provider, making quality education accessible to all.
To cater to the support from the community in Thonburi and its surrounding areas, a modern academic building was added in August 2021. This new phase has modern facilities such as an auditorium, gymnasium, classrooms and science laboratories. There is a great emphasis on nature, and allowing students to connect with their natural environment. This combination of nature and nurture allows SISB schools to maximise the potential of every student.
This opening ceremony was the third time that SISB has had the privilege of welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The previous occasions were in June 2012 for the Grand Opening of SISB Pracha Uthit, and in July 2018 for the Opening Ceremony of Silpapirom Creative Arts and Media Centre in SISB Pracha Uthit. “Silpapirom” was also bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
