On 8th November, SISB Thonburi celebrated Loy Krathong in the morning with Primary 1 – 3 students and in the afternoon with Primary 4 – 6 and Sixth Form students. We begin with The Royal Thai National Anthem after which the Opening Parade commenced, followed by Klong Yao (Thai Instruments) and Nang Rum.
The first performance was a contemporary Thai dance called “November Full Moon Shine,” which was accompanied by piano and khim (Thai instruments) played by CK , Feeya, Boon Boon, and Linge. For the second performance, P6 Love students performed “Rak Kam Klong” (Love Across the Canal), a contemporary Thai dance.
Back in their classrooms, each child made a Krathong to take home and float with their families later on in the evening. To end our day of celebrations, all classes danced the Ram Wong wan Loy Krathong with their teachers.
