SISB Suvarnabhumi: Primary Chinese New Year Celebration 2024

Happy Chinese New Year! On Feb 6, 2024. SISB Suvarnabhumi embraced the spirit of the Chinese New Year with a joyous celebration!

Our students were treated to a lively dragon and lion dance performance, bringing good fortune and prosperity for the new year. Cheers and applause filled the air as colourful dragons and lions danced through the schoolyard.

In addition to the exciting performances, students took the stage to showcase their talents in a variety of acts, adding their unique flair to the celebration.

The celebration continued with fun-filled Chinese New Year crafts, including paper dragons, foam clay, dragon bags, and more. Students also expressed their creativity in a canvas painting activity, depicting dragons, lions, red envelopes, and other auspicious symbols.

As part of the celebration, students explored Chinese culture through a captivating exhibition, learning about Chinese calligraphy, tea, martial arts, traditional clothing, paper cutting, and more.

To wrap up the festivities, Principal Irene distributed lucky bags to all students, each containing oranges and other festive gifts—a traditional Chinese New Year symbol of good fortune.

The laughter and joy echoed through the campus, and we hope our students had a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year! Wishing everyone a year filled with happiness, prosperity, and success!
