On Nov 13, our Primary section commemorated Odd Socks Day. This annual event serves as a reminder that being different is something to be proud of. Participants are encouraged to embrace their individuality and support others in doing the same.
This event kicked off with a presentation by Principal Irene about what Odd Socks Day is and the purpose behind this day. Our students participated in this event by coming to school in mismatched socks as a way of celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion.
The school hopes that through this event, our school community is more aware of the uniqueness in every individual and more accepting towards diversity. Important social issues, including bullying and prejudice, and how every individual could stand up against these, were also highlighted to the students.
