Congratulations to Moji for getting a full-ride NCAA Division 1 athletic scholarship from Iowa State University. Here’s what she had to say:
I feel incredibly grateful and honoured to receive the full-ride NCAA Division 1 athletic scholarship. It’s a big milestone in my golf journey. I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I will take this opportunity to work harder and grow both as an athlete and a person.
To me, golf is a sport that requires both mental and physical control. Every shot needs focus, patience, and careful planning. I’ve learnt so much about myself through golf – how to stay calm under pressure, learnt to accept my mistakes and learn from them, which motivates me to get better.
Iowa State University is the next step in my journey. I was truly drawn to this university because I felt deeply valued by the coaches from the very beginning. They made me feel valued and believed in my potential, not just as a golfer, but as a person. The team culture is strong, positive, and competitive, everyone pushes one another to grow. Iowa State is also one of the top golf programmes in NCAA Division 1, with top-notch training facilities and a supportive academic environment. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my golf game, contribute to the team’s success, and grow into an even stronger and better version of myself.
I would like to thank my family and friends for their unconditional support, and I’m also thankful to my golf coaches who guided my development over the years. And finally, thank you to SISB for providing an environment that supported both my academics and athletic journey.
