One of the most beautiful festivals in Thailand is Loy Krathong. It is celebrated on the full moon day in November. NK students, together with the teachers and parents, celebrated this event at SISB Suvarnabhumi on the 8th of November. The students took turns going around the 4 stations prepared by the teachers. They also had fun dancing the Muay Thai dance with Teacher Joanne, floating Krathongs with Laoshu Moling, tasting herbal drinks with Kru Ja, and making arts and crafts with Kru Noey. Parents helped the teachers in managing these different activities and the students were very happy to see their parents helping out in the different stations.
After enjoying these activities, the students were led by Kru Noey and their teachers in the Krathong making part of the celebration. The students were so engaged and showed a lot of creativity in making their own Krathong. Students were able to bring home their finished Krathong to float in the river with their families. It was indeed an enjoyable and fruitful day for our lovely NK students!
