Job Description

The staff shall perform administrative work and handles procedures of Government Liaison liaising with Government Agencies to carry out specific tasks in terms of licenses regarding teaching license, visa and work permit application and extension. Provides support in the various human resources functions, and programs in relation with the school.

Streamlined Regulatory and Licensing Processes for Educational Institutions
This section outlines key responsibilities related to the regulation of school licenses, various professional permits, and visa processes for educators and their families in Thailand.
School License Management
Regularization of School License: Facilitate the regularization of the school license, specifically when there’s a change in the Authorized Person with the Ministry of Education (MOE).

Teacher Professional Licensing, Visas, and Work Permits
Comprehensive Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of Teaching Profession Licenses (both Provisional/Temporary and Permanent), Visas, and Work Permits. This includes:
o Application
o Renewal
o Extension
o Cancellation
90-day reporting

Passport and Data Updates: Manage the transfer of visas to new passports and process changes to data within work permits.

Proactive Scheduling: Coordinate with relevant departments to schedule teacher absences for visa/work permit appointments in advance, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching duties.

Database Management: Administer and update an electronic database for all visa, work permit, and professional teaching license information.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and implement the latest rules and regulations from the Ministry of Education (MOE), Immigration Department, and Labor Department.

Candidate Vetting: Verify the qualifications and specifications of prospective teaching candidates.

Information Dissemination: Provide clear information and guidance on visa and work permit procedures for teachers.

Liaison and Coordination: Act as a primary contact and coordinator with the Teacher Council of Thailand and the Ministry of Education.

New License Registration: Handle the registration and application processes for new or temporary teaching licenses.

Student and Parent Visas
– Visa Management (Non-ED and Non-O): Manage the application, renewal, extension, and cancellation (as requested) of Non-ED (Student) visas and Non-O (Parent) visas.
– Family Member Support: Provide support and necessary documentation for teachers& family members applying for non-O visas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, English, Business, Administration
  • Good knowledge and understanding of government setting related to teaching license and immigration in Thailand.
  • Proven skills in negotiation and public relation management.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels.

  • English proficiency
