On Feb 2, 2023, P1 students enjoyed an adventure on a field trip to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Museum (https://www.museumthailand.com/en/museum/Suvarnabhumi-Airport-Museum). The P1 students learnt about the evolution of the aviation industry in Thailand and they discovered that Suvarnabhumi translates to ‘Golden Land’ and that the airport was named by King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Students saw displays and miniature models which replicated features of the airport. They were able to walk through the main terminal of the airport and were shown how to find out information about flight arrivals and departures. Students were then shown how to check-in to a flight and were informed about rules and regulations of the airport as well as onboard the airplanes. Finally, students travelled up to the observation deck where they watched airplanes taking off and landing. The airport tour concluded with lunch. The field trip offered P1 students an exciting and educational learning experience!
